Rachel Gold Friedmann

Rachel joined Rubin Paterniti Gonzalez Rizzo Kaufman LLP in 2021 as an Associate in the firm’s Long Island office, where she concentrates her practice on healthcare, medical malpractice and general negligence matters. Rachel is involved at every stage of litigated matters, from inception, through discovery, including taking and defending depositions, witness and expert preparation, motion practice and trial preparation.

Prior to joining RPGRK, Rachel served as Associate Counsel for the NYC Health + Hospitals Corporation for four years, and prior to service in that capacity, worked as an Associate Attorney at another well-regarded defense firm where she handled professional and general negligence actions. From 2012 through 2016, Rachel was an Assistant District Attorney for Kings County prosecuted felony cases from arrest through disposition. As an ADA, she was responsible for interviewing and preparing of members of law enforcement and civilian witnesses for testimony in court, motion practice and negotiation of plea dispositions. Rachel successfully prosecuted felony and misdemeanor jury and bench trials as lead and co-counsel. Past trials included attempted murder, armed robbery, assault, weapons possession, and vehicular charges.

Rachel received her juris doctorate from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2010, and a Bachelor of Arts (English and American Literature and Psychology) from New York University in 2007 (magna cum laude).
