Michael La Pinta

Michael specializes in medical malpractice defense, offering insight and guidance from the start of a case to trial. Since entering practice in 2022, Michael has successfully argued a variety of motions ranging from nuanced discovery disputes to motions for summary judgment winning dismissals prior to trial. He has taken numerous depositions and started second-seating trials. Michael has handled complex cases involving areas of medicine such as spine surgery complications, heart attacks, strokes, and birthing injuries.

Michael graduated from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2021. During law school, Michael held the positions of Senior Associate Editor of the Hofstra Law Review and President of the Hofstra Trial Advocacy Association, competing in numerous interscholastic mock trial competitions. Michael also interned pro bono at the Federal Defenders of New York, a legal aid society, and with a Federal Magistrate Judge in the Eastern District of New York.
